I think we’re all aware that Super Bowl LI is Sunday. But before you dive into the sofa—and the bean dip—check out these sweet pre-Sunday local events:

Top
Pick
 of
the
Week: With today being Groundhogs Day, we thought it was appropriate to feature the 39th annual Groundhog Prom. Come dressed to impress in your tacky “anti-inaugural” formal wear. Drinks and music will be available to celebrate the night away—or maybe to drown your sorrows.

In preparation for Super Bowl Sunday, we’re all guilty of packing our fridges with lots of junk food items. Pre-game for all this consumption and enjoy some delicious steaks at the Classic Omaha Steakhouse Bus Tour. Indulge in your meat-loving fantasy tonight at 6 p.m., as the tour will take you to five of Omaha’s finest steak joints.

If you are looking for some music options, these next three picks are all great choices:

This Friday feast your eyes on the amazing multimedia performance Distant
 Worlds:
Music
from
 Final
Fantasy. Grammy Award-winner Arnie Roth conducts the show that hits the Holland Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m.

Saturday holds two great options, depending on your mood. Local hip-hop artist, Axcess delivers his new CD, Conscious
Corners, at Reverb Lounge. A middle-school teacher by day and hip-hop lyricist by night, Axcess (aka Elias Hammond) takes the Reverb stage at 9 p.m.

Last, but definitely not least, Kevin Garrett performs at the Slowdown. Garrett has shared the stage with the likes of many popular artists, such as Alessia Cara, X Ambassadors, and Emily King to name a few. In 2016, he was able to add songwriting for Beyonce to his expanding resume as he co-wrote and co-produced one the tracks off the superstar’s album Lemonade. Catch his soulful performance at 9 p.m.
