Farmer’s Market Gardening season is open in Omaha, and those desiring fresh produce will find plenty of options in the area, along with artisan cheeses, farm-raised meats, freshly baked breads, assorted treats, and craft items. Cinco de Mayo Parade May 4 along 24 St. from D to L streets. This dazzling parade—one of the largest Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the Midwest—features floats, marching bands, and more. Saturdays @ Stinson Concert Series May 4, 11, 18 & 25 at Stinson Park, 2285 S. 67th St. Food, drinks, face painting, and balloon artists will all be available during these live concerts, which feature talented bands from Omaha. This event takes place each Saturday from May to August. Yoga Rocks the Park Starting May 5 at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing, 3110 Farnam St. This healing arts festival takes place on Sundays and combines yoga and live music as a way to heal your mind and body. Omaha Brew Tour May 11 at Farnam House Brewing Company, 3588 Farnam St. Tour some of Omaha’s craft beer breweries and bars by bicycle with Nebraska Beer Ride. The event will begin and end at Farnam House Brewing Company with prize drawings at the end of the event. Participants will receive a ticket for a beer at each stop. Florence Days May 11-12 in downtown Florence, 30th St. between State St. and I-680 Historic Florence retains its own small-town feeling with this annual event. Celebrate CB May 14-18 in Council Bluffs, various locations. Hop across the river to celebrate Council Bluffs.
