Our patient population includes all age groups, but they have one thing in common,” says Claire Lakatos-Rathjen, P.T., DPT, SCS, CSCS. Lakatos-Rathjen owns and operates Core Physical Therapy with her husband, Mark Rathjen, P.T., DPT, CSCS. “We did a survey and found that 95 percent of our patients self-describe as active or athletic. We work with high school and college athletes as well as people in their seventies who want to maintain an active lifestyle and make sure they’re doing it in the healthiest and safest way possible.”

The two doctors opened their clinic in December 2015. The Rathjens employ only licensed physical therapists, so patients don’t spend their time with techs. In addition to providing high-quality care, they have created a positive, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere.

“We want people to be able to walk in and instantly feel comfortable,” Lakatos-Rathjen says. “And with the rising cost of health care, we also want patients to feel that they’re getting excellent value in return for their hard-earned dollars.”
